Future of Jazz Orchestra featuring Ted Nash: MILES DAVIS CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION

Summer is excited to play with the The Future of Jazz Orchestra as they join forces with former Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra saxophonist Ted Nash for a vibrant celebration of Miles Davis’s centennial. Featuring some of the most exciting young players on today’s scene, this Dizzy’s resident band brings fresh life, bold arrangements, and plenty of swing to the music of one of jazz’s most influential artists.

Summer joins the Jazz Houston Nonet and Thelonius Monk Competition Winner, Marquis Hill, for an evening that traces Miles’ journey—from classic standards to bold electric sounds!
APEX Trumpet Symposium
Summer is honored to be a guest artist for this year’s APEX Trumpet Symposium! APEX is North America’s premiere in-person summer trumpet symposium. From the majestic heights of Tennessee’s Smokey Mountains, a stone's throw from Knoxville, participants hone their creative voices in a stunning mountaintop lodge. Participants enjoy private lessons, topic lectures, non-traditional interactive masterclasses from world-class artists, time for individual practice, and trumpet ensembles all taking place in a positive, supportive, and collegial environment.

Braswell High School Legacy Jazz Festival
Summer is excited to make her debut appearance at Braswell High School Legacy Jazz Festival's “Jazz on the Porch.” Bring your lawn chair and blanket to enjoy this stacked concert including the TCU Jazz Ensemble 1 and the Braswell Legacy One Jazzz Orchestra. Food will be available throughout the event, so come hungry! Admission is $10.00.
Mt. Hood Jazz Festival
Summer is elated to make her debut apperance at the Mt. Hood Jazz Festival, a five-day immersion into the jazz culture! She will be joining professional performances by world-renowned artists, as well as a large competitive festival for high school and middle school jazz ensembles. Attendees can experience the music, vendors, food, and culture of beautiful Oregon!
Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival
Summer is excited to make her debut appearance at the University of Idaho’s Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival! Tickets for Summer’s performance include performances by Tito Puente, Jr., the UI Jazz Band I, Jazz Choir I & World Beat Ensemble.
From 12:00pm -1:00pm Summer will also be featured in the festival's "Meet the Artist" on-stage interview-style workshop for students and community members.
Gotham Jazz Festival
The twenties roar again at the 8th annual Gotham Jazz Festival, and Summer is thrilled to be a part of it! Summer and her trio will be making their debut appearance at this year’s festival, playing from 5:30-6:45pm in the 4th floor lounge! Come out early, stay late, and enjoy a full day of dancing, lounging, and listening to 15 of NYC’s best hot jazz & swing bands… nearly 100 musicians!
Eau Claire Jazz Festival
Summer is returning to Eau Claire as an adjudicator for the student bands, as well as performing with the Adjudicator All-Star Combo at the "Jazz Crawl” which transforms downtown Eau Claire into a New York jazz scene featuring over 40 exceptional music groups at 17 different venues!
Mona Shores Performing Arts School: Jazz Masters Concert
Summer is delighted to be the guest artist at the Mona Shores Performing Arts School’s Jazz Masters Concert. The concert is featuring the school’s middle school and high school jazz bands, as well as a mini concert with Summer’s trio!

Yoko Kanno with Seatbelts
Summer is honored to join Japanese lyricist, songwriter, arranger, and music producer, Yoko Kanno, in her performance of Seltbelts. The guest vocalist is the original voice himself, Steve Conte, an essential part of the Seatbelts legacy. The songs that defined an era will be performed by the very musicians who brought them into existence. This is not a tribute. This is the night the real thing finally lands in America.

Summer Camargo in Concert
Join us for an afternoon with jazz sensation Summer Camargo and her “golden” trumpet, plus accompanying players!
This concert is part of “Our World’s Creative Women” -- the Croton Council on the Arts (CCoA)'s month-long celebration of Croton’s extraordinary women drawing from the riches of our community's past, present, and the seedlings of its future. The concert is free and open to all… first come, first served — and previous concerts in this series have been very popular, so please plan to come early because the space might fill up!
