Summer is excited to play with the The Future of Jazz Orchestra as they join forces with former Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra saxophonist Ted Nash for a vibrant celebration of Miles Davis’s centennial. Featuring some of the most exciting young players on today’s scene, this Dizzy’s resident band brings fresh life, bold arrangements, and plenty of swing to the music of one of jazz’s most influential artists.

Summer is honored to be a guest artist for this year’s APEX Trumpet Symposium! APEX is North America’s premiere in-person summer trumpet symposium. From the majestic heights of Tennessee’s Smokey Mountains, a stone's throw from Knoxville, participants hone their creative voices in a stunning mountaintop lodge. Participants enjoy private lessons, topic lectures, non-traditional interactive masterclasses from world-class artists, time for individual practice, and trumpet ensembles all taking place in a positive, supportive, and collegial environment.

Braswell High School Legacy Jazz Festival

Summer is excited to make her debut appearance at Braswell High School Legacy Jazz Festival's “Jazz on the Porch.” Bring your lawn chair and blanket to enjoy this stacked concert including the TCU Jazz Ensemble 1 and the Braswell Legacy One Jazzz Orchestra. Summer is excited to make her debut appearance at the University of Idaho’s Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival! Tickets for Summer’s performance include performances by Tito Puente, Jr., the UI Jazz Band I, Jazz Choir I & World Beat Ensemble. 

From 12:00pm -1:00pm Summer will also be featured in the festival's "Meet the Artist" on-stage interview-style workshop for students and community members.
